Speaking of costs, University of Wisconsin researchers are recommending investment in early diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease as a way of avoiding much larger, long-term social and fiscal costs down the road.  This is relevant to corrections why?  Because the fastest growing age group for virtually all state prison systems is that age group most likely to have or be coming down with Alzheimer’s in long-term.
