Support Staff with Non-Routine Offender Contact or Routine Offender Contact will complete Phase I of pre-service training at their work location, within their first sixty days of employment, assisted by their supervisor and assigned mentor. The completed Phase I packet is then sent to the Registrar at the Oklahoma Correctional Training Academy. Upon reception of the Phase I completion packet, the new employee will be enrolled to attend Phase II of pre-service training at the academy. Notification of enrollment in Phase II will be sent to the local training officer.
Training will take place at the Oklahoma Correctional Training Academy (OCTA) located in Oklahoma City at the Department of Public Safety, Robert R. Lester Training Center, Building 10, 3600 North Martin Luther King Avenue.
